Background

These education programs and their associated learning materials (together the Training Materials) are provided to you under these Terms of Use.

In these Terms of Use, a reference to:

‘you’ or ‘your’ is a reference to you as the user of the Training Materials; and

‘we’, ‘our’ or ‘us’ is a reference to Alfred Health.

By using the Training Materials, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, as updated by us from time to time.

Use of the Training Materials

The Training Materials are intended for education purposes only. While we have used reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the information contained within the Training Materials, no guarantee is given that the information provided in the Training Materials is correct, complete and up-to-date, nor that it is directly applicable in your local hospital. All information within our courses must be considered and utilised in conjunction with local hospital protocols and guidelines. We do not assume any liability for the accuracy or completeness of the information contained within the Training Materials.  The information in the Training Materials is not intended to replace and should not be construed as medical advice and is not intended to apply specifically to any patient. You need to use your own clinical judgement in the management of your individual patients.

You accept all risks and responsibility for losses, damages, costs and other consequences resulting directly or indirectly from using the Training Materials. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we (including our respective employees and consultants) exclude all liability to any person for any consequences, including but not limited to all losses, damages, costs, expenses and any other compensation, arising directly or indirectly from using the Training Materials (in part or in whole) and any information or material contained in them.

The Training Materials contain links to third party websites.  These links are provided for convenience only and not as a guarantee or recommendation by us for the services, information, opinion or any other content on such third party websites or as an indication of any affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement of such third party websites.

If you decide to access a linked website, you do so at your own risk. Your use of other websites is subject to the terms of use for such sites.

We have not participated in the development of those websites and do not exert any editorial or other control over those websites. We are not responsible for the accuracy or content of information contained in those websites and make no guarantees or representations regarding the privacy practices of those websites. We accept no liability for the content of those websites or any loss you may suffer as a result of accessing them. We are not responsible for ensuring, and provide no guarantee, that the third party websites remain up to date and that the links remain accurate. You should contact the third party directly if you have any queries or concerns regarding third party websites or their content.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Training Materials (excluding content acknowledged as being sourced from third parties) are owned by us. Your access to and use of the Training Materials does not grant or transfer to you any rights in relation to the Training Materials.

The Training Materials (in part or as a whole) cannot be reproduced, published, communicated or adapted without the prior written consent of Alfred Health. Any request or enquiry in relation to the Training Materials should be addressed to pharmhub@alfred.org.au

Certificate of Completion

When you complete this course you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Completion of Alfred Health’s pharmacy education program(s) does not guarantee you future employment at Alfred Health or provide any qualification beyond receipt of the Certificate of Completion.

Registration refund policy

No refunds will be issued for education programs which are delivered entirely online. However, in the case of illness, injury or other special circumstances, please contact us at pharmhub@alfred.org.au to enquire about a program extension.

If you are no longer able to attend a face-to-face learning activity (i.e., a workshop or experiential placement) due to illness, injury or other special circumstances, please contact us at pharmhub@alfred.org.au to discuss alternative options.

Requests for program extensions or alternative workshop or placement dates will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation policy

Unfortunately, in very rare cases due to unexpected clinical demand or other unforeseen, unavoidable circumstances, workshops or placements may need to be cancelled or postponed. In this instance, registrants will be advised promptly and will be offered the option of completing the learning activity on an alternate date(s) or a full refund for registration fees associated with the cancelled learning activity.

Privacy policy

We maintain, and comply with, Alfred Health’s privacy statement as updated from time to time (Privacy Statement) in relation to any Personal Information we may collect. Privacy collection notice

Alfred Health is collecting your personal information primarily for the purpose of registering you in your selected pharmacy education program(s) and facilitating your completion of the program(s). We will not be able to register you in the program(s) without collecting your personal information.

Personal information we collect will be treated strictly in accordance with Alfred Health’s privacy policy and the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic). If you have any queries, concerns or require further information relating to privacy, please contact the Chief Privacy Officer at: privacy.officer@alfred.org.au. In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic), you have the right to request access to your personal information held by Alfred Health.

By submitting your registration for any of our pharmacy education programs via our website, you agree to the collection, disclosure and use of your personal information as set out above.

Variations to the Terms of Use

We may update these Terms of Use at our discretion at any time without notice. Any modified terms will supersede these Terms of Use and will become binding on you when they are published online. You should regularly check the Terms of Use before using the Training Materials to keep informed of any changes we may make to these Terms of Use.

Jurisdiction

By accessing the Training Materials, you agree to be bound by the laws of Victoria, Australia and consent to any disputes being addressed in the Courts of Victoria, Australia.
